REPRODUCTION OF TYPHOON HAGIBIS USING WRF-ARW MODEL AND IMPACT ANALYSIS AGAINST CHANGES IN SEA SURFACE TEMPERATURE

The 2019 Typhoon Hagibis brought heavy rainfall to eastern Japan. In the downstream basin of Arakawa River, which is located in Metropolitan area, water level rose close inundation risk level. As flooding likely occur event still heavier rainfall, it necessary obtain data on increased as basic information for planning evacuation activities. This paper reports results a reproducibility study together with an analysis changes due manipulation sea temperature using Weather and Research Forecasting (WRF) model their impact. overall shape hyetograph was reproduced study, albeit differences peak time amount rainfall. addition, verified that fluctuates correspondence fluctuations surface temperature. revealed this caused by effect topography upstream basin, addition course typhoon resulting from atmospheric pressure field fluctuation vapor flux.
